Many people in wordpress are not for blogging they are here for promoting their stuff. Like we see in twitter. They only like your blog even without reading it. Just to make you see their blogs. That’s a spam for wordpress.

I’ve written about this several times. It is the most annoying thing I have witnessed. WordPress condones it and makes it easier than ever for people to participate in this behavior.
may be the reason behind that is to keep wordpress active with such kind of users
